About Karma
I thought that it would be
great for everyone who visit's this site to know a little
more about me and what I love doing. Have a read and enjoy!
Hello, my name is Karma
(Good Karma)
and I am passionate about
photography. I love working with my clients to ensure that
they have fun at every photo shoot or event.
My passion is photography. I
love and always have loved shooting! But other than that, I
love to dance and sing. I love being creative… I believe I
have a good voice, but then again, everyone thinks that
about themselves. I have wanted to learn Latin dancing for a
while and is certainly on the to-do list.
I fell in
love with photography in high school. It was film
photography and we learnt how to process film in the dark
room and use manual camera's. When I finished school, my
parents wanted me to be an accountant, so I reluctantly
studied for that particular career path. I didn't enjoy it
at all, so I didn't continue with studies.
A couple
years later, I then met my husband. I now tell people, I
married an accountant in stead of becoming one. This usually
gets a laugh and breaks the ice when I meet new people.
What made
me start my business was when he asked me what it was that I
always wanted to do. The first thing that came to mind was
photography. We kept talking about it and I didn't think
much of that conversation.
I would
say about a month later, he surprised me with a new NIKON
DSLR. I was so excited and couldn't believe he bought me
such an expensive gift. I then started my studies in
photography and two years later, I have new equipment, a
company, client's that are very happy with my work and
the enthusiasm and passion to learn new things.
I am young
and confident in what I do and what I know I can do for my
clients. I am very happy at where I am in my life and look
forward to growing more as a photographer and as a business
owner.
My
favourite job so far was the two day conference I did for
IAG Insurance. Yes, I photographed the whole event myself.
It was an amazing experience and the fact that this large
company entrusted me with capturing their special moment
felt so good. As I gave them the photographs the next day
before they left Sydney for New Zealand, they were so happy
with the service that they kissed and cuddled me before they
left. :P
A question
that I always get asked is "what makes you different from
other photographers"?
My answer to that is that I
always smile, even in stressful situations. I am very
approachable and I like to mingle at parties so that the
guest's feel very comfortable having me take their
photograph. I go that extra mile to ensure that my clients
are happy with the end result. I also take pride in my self
and my work. I also listen and work with my
clients to ensure that I capture what they want. The reason
I do this very important attribute is so that I understand what is important to them.
