for getting the most out of your portrait session
General Fashion tips:
> Wear
clothes with colours that suit you and avoid busy patterns and
bright colours, light colours tend to wash out your skin tone, so
more solid and darker coloured (not too dark) clothing would be a much better
option
> Avoid wearing yellow or green, as they can
effect skin colour
> An open, scoop or V-neck shirt or
blouse will add the appearance of length to your neck, where a
turtleneck with give the appearance of a shorter neck
> Group photo shoots: it is specially
important to wear colours that blend with one another
Make up tips:
> Hide your blemishes and use powder to
achieve a beautiful matte finish. This is to avoid shiny or oily
looking skin when being photographed
> Lipstick should be one shade deeper than
your natural lip colour
> Avoid using lip-gloss as it gives an
illusion that you are not wearing lip colour at all
> Eye shadow should be a lighter shade, so
your eyes are brought forward
> Apply more make up than normal, but
neatly and precisely

& Accessories:
> The best advice is to keep it simple,
as it is not meant to steal the attention away from you
Grooming & Posture tips:
> Hair should be neat and tidy and
keep frizz
under control
> Keep a good posture with your back
straight
> Smile with your eyes
> lean towards the camera a little
( with
the directions of the photographer)
> Always look slightly above the
camera when your picture is taken
